At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

In May, I have taken on the challenge of running half a marathon to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society. This charity is leading the fight against dementia.

Any money raised will help improve the quality of life for those who are affected with dementia. It will be invested in care and treatments and also for research to find a cure. As well as this, Alzheimer's Society provide everyday home care, support and befriending services are offered to help partners and families. There are a vast amount of friendly café's, group outings and activity sessions, which all provide practical services for people with dementia and their carers.

As of recently, I have started training and will continue to in order to complete 13.1 miles. With each step I feel inspired to raise awareness and money for this brilliant charity and I hope you can support me by making any donations, big or small, for such a great cause.

Thank you.
