We did it !!!!!!! The Tour du Mont Blanc
Thanks for all the kind
wishes and donations. As a group we raised £ 35,000 which will make a big
difference to Bolton Hospice
You kept us going when it
got really tough.
We walked 15 – 20 miles
every day.
We climbed the equivalent of
Ben Nevis Twice every day!!!!!
We walked on paths that were
9 inches wide with a 2000 foot drop on the left arghhhhhhhhh.
We crossed a wobbly rope
bridge that was 120 foot long over a ravine gushing with water that was a 1000
feet up.
The last day was the
scariest and most gruelling day of the whole tour and Hayley has confirmed that
Gabrielle could survive in !
She tore her calf muscles, gritted her teeth and refused mountain rescue and a
helicopter and dragged her leg for the last hour of the walk.
Hayley cured her fear of
heights TOTALLY and only cried twice
Gabrielle roughed it in a
room with 16 smelly bunk beds, a weird French man, lots of flies and no
straightners.
Truly life changing stuff
and thank you for your support and kindness.
We are glad you are proud of
us, we are proud of ourselves and each other too.
Gabrielle and Hayley
