<p>Back in 1985 when Ian Botham started his walks in aid of childhood Leukaemia the survival rate was just 20%, it is now 90% due to the amazing work of many dedicated people and the £13m raised by Beefy's walks around the world.To add my own small effort I will be packing up Gadget Show Live 2012 at the NEC, passing up the return portion of my train ticket and walking to Excel London, the venue for Gadget Show Live's new Christmas event.The route will take me through around 300km of Grand Union Canal and I will be resting my blisters at Travelodges in glamorous locations including Leamington Spa, Milton Keynes and Watford so if you fancy joining for a leg let me know.
