We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

Chris, Tom and Hugh, an unlikely but handsome amalgam of physique, initiative and nous, are all off to Tanzania in October to walk up and down Mount Kilimanjaro. This is arguably a pointless exercise but we are looking forward to the experience immensely for all the usual reasons connected with life enhancement, physical challenge, and cultural bandwidth etc.. Whether we collapse on day two in a sticky mess of altitude sickness or not we would still like to prey upon your good nature and raise some funds for infantile kidney cancer, or more specifically the Great  Ormond Street / UCL Institute of Child Health. Our connection to this charity is through our great mates Tom and Fiona Squires whose youngest son, Wilber, was diagnosed with renal cancer earlier this year. Despite numerous rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy and some pretty intrusive surgery, Wilber, aged 2, is still bouncing around with a massive smile on his face and thoroughly enjoying life. He’s a little man and a big inspiration.

Thanks all,

Chris, Tom (Wilber’s godfather) and Hugh
