We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My brother Gareth would have been 50 years old this year, had he not died of Cancer back in 2005, leaving behind his wife, Jill and two very young daughters, Nia and Ffion... not to mention a sister, parents and many friends.
He was a great friend to me always helping me through thick and thin and I was heartbroken when he couldn't attend my wedding. It would be an understatement to say I miss him and although I can't take him for a drink on his birthday, my thoughts of him are never far away. We were great friends growing up, doing most things together, whether playing football or going to concerts. We were 17 when we cycled from Cardiff to Brecon and back, so this trip seems like an obvious way for me to celebrate his life and do something to help future Cancer sufferers. I couldn't do anything for Gareth's fight against Cancer, but hopefully with the money I and my 4 fellow riders (Simon Moore, Nick Moore, Tom Watkins & Lawrence Mears) raise on this cycle run I can help others who are fighting this frightening disease.
