Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

My son Evan was diagnosed with Fragile-X in 2006. Fragile-X is the most common form of inherited learning disability, although relatively unheard of. Evan is a loving, fantastic little boy who just wants to have fun. However, for Evan things are more difficult as his learning difficulties do hold him back somewhat. We are hopeful that as he reaches school age this step up in learning will not have too much of an impact, as he is the most sociable, determined little boy and lights up any room with his presence.

The Fragile X Society provide a support network to those families affected by this all too common problem. As such any support to this charity will help many people like Evan and their families deal with the condition.

I am running the Edinburgh Marathon on 31st May which is I am reliably informed twice as long as a half marathon. Which is therefore twice as long as I've ever run to date(update 20/05/09: I have now run 18.5miles which is still 7.5 miles off the marathon). Yes this is still the biggest physical challenge of my life, but hopefully with your help and sponsorship very much worth it.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Fragile X Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
