1. Why does Mencap need its very own Santa?
Mencap needs its own Santa so s/he can help spread as much Christmas good will and festive spirit as far as possible.
2. What special qualities do you have that would make you the perfect Santa for 2007?
I don’t own a big red suit, I don’t have a white beard or even have a herd of reindeer in my garage but I think I am
Cheerful,
Likeable,
Approachable,
Unassuming with a
Sunny outlook to all I meet.
Lastly, I can eat unlimited mince pies and still remain slim enough to get down all those narrow chimneys. Ho, Ho, Ho
3. Santa is responsible for the magic and spirit of Christmas. If you could grant the Mencap community one wish, what would it be?
Christmas is a magical time of the year for goodwill and giving so there would be no better present than to grant the Mencap community its vision of a world where everybody with a learning disability is valued equally, listened to and included.
