Borneo 10 day challenge 12th-22nd Sept 2008 Hi thankyou for visiting our fundraising page.Our names are Garry Hawking & Johnny Rumgay.We are aiming to raise £3000 for the Bedfordshire & Northamptonshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre by doing an expedtion to Borneo, Malaysia. This includes a two day trek up Mount Kinabula (4,095 mts/13,435 ft) followed by a 170 km cycling challenge through the Crocker Mountain Range over two days. This is then followed by white-water rafting down the Padas River. Several members of our family have been affected by MS, particularly our Mum/Mother in law Ada Rumgay who was diagnosed with MS early in 2007, since then she has been attending the therapy centre which has been a great help both physically & emotionally. We recently visited the centre and were very impressed with the facilities on offer and the friendly and helpful staff (mostly volunteers). We are doing this fundraiser as the centre receives no statutory funding and relies on donations and fundraising alone to keep on providing the excellent help and support for sufferers of MS. So any donation you could give would be greatly appreciated by both ourselves and the therapy centre. Thanks a lot Garry & Johnny
