Story

Hi! Welcome to my fundraising page for my climb up Kilimanjaro on 21st October 2010

As most of you know, in August 2008 i was diagnosed with a brain tumour, in the front left lobe. This came very suddenly and without warning, and caused my family no end of worry and anxiety. Fortunately, after having the tumour removed, I've made pretty much a full recovery, and my life is going in a positive direction, a direction i never dreamed it would!

When i was discharged from hospital, i felt alone. Yes i had my family and friends around me ( without who, i would never have got through it) but nobody really i could speak to about what had happened, and were to turn next. Thats where Macmillan came in, they were always just a phone call away. They helped emotionally and financially and made it totally clear who could help with the every day living costs i needed after losing my job through my illness. I dont know where i would be without there help.

Macmillan need donations to help other people who are in the same position as i was, and lots of people who are much, much worse. Without your donations, they may not be able to help the people that really need it, and that includes not just cancer sufferers, but also there families (who in my experience suffer just as much, if not more)

I decided to give something back for there help and kindness, so i decided to climb Kilimanjaro! Should be easy enough hey?

So please if you can help, it doesnt matter how small the donation, every single penny really does count!
