Lakelands 10,000 ft Tandem Skydive · 27 September 2009

Lakelands Hospice provides specialist palliative care and support services for people living with a life limiting illness. Our aim is to enhance quality of life for those in need and their loved ones in an environment that provides tranquillity, support and care.

Story

I am taking part in a 10,000 feet tandem skydive in aid of Lakelands Hospice Appeal (Registered Charity No. 1062120) on the 27th September 2009. I aim to raise as much money as possible and would be very grateful for your support in sponsoring me.

Lakelands Day Care Hospice provides respite day care facilities for adults in North Northamptonshire, South Leicestershire and Rutland. Since opening in 2001, the Hospice has helped over 2000 families in the area and continues to grow in order to meet the great need for respite day care. The Hospice relies entirely on voluntary donations and support from the community to remain open.  In 2008 Lakelands needed to raise in excess of £350,000 to keep its doors open.

Their aim is to improve the quality of life of patients and families living with life-limiting illnesses, including cancer and heart failure.

Please note I will not be taking extra donations to do the jump without the aid of a parachute!

 Many thanks for your support!

Gary
