Sands is the charity speaking up about pregnancy and baby loss, saving babies’ lives and supporting bereaved families. Together, we are saving babies’ lives and improving maternity safety and bereavement care through research, training and campaigning.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my, other, Just Giving page.

On 23rd Sept 2009, we experienced a life shattering day when we discovered our second daughter, Ffion,  had passed away, shortly before she was due.  We were almost at full term and there has never been an explanation for losing our daughter.

It has been life changing in many ways and we have found a lot of support through our local SANDS group.  SANDS support parents that have lost babies and also researches into an area which has very little research or support, elsewhere. Somewhere in the U.K someone will be effected everyday.

I've decided to train and compete in this race,Men's Health Survival of the Fittest 10k challenge,  in memory of our little http://mhsurvival.co.uk Ffion, whom we got to spend far too little time with, and my father who passed away due to lung cancer in July 2005.

Please try to make a donation, and if you do, please split between the 2 charities by visiting the separate page, www.justgiving/garyglynch2 for Marie Curie Cancer.

Thanks for your time,

Gary, Carys and Seren.
