Stirred by the crisis in East Africa we felt as a church we just had to do something. After giving it some thought we have decided to have a fundraising event which will include a duck race and we would love for you to be involved.

 

It’s simple, each person can buy one duck, thats one duck per person, we are asking for a minimum of £5 per duck but you can give £10, £20, £100 or whatever you feel you can afford.

 

Our prayer is that we can get 1000 people to each buy a duck which will raise a minimum of £5000. Don’t forget if you gift aid your donations then we will get even more!

 

The money will be given through Tear Fund who is part of the Disasters Emergency Committee and the money will be sent to those in East Africa who need it the most.

 

The race will take place at Buxton Mill in Norfolk, NR10 5JE at 11am on Bank Holiday Monday the 29th August 2011 and there will also be a cake stall and drinks available which will be sold to raise money.

 

£100 1st prize, £50 2nd prize and other prizes available.

 

Please please give what you can and be part of something fun but life changing.
