This year I am back on Mount Everest, but also climbing Cho Oyu aswell. I am fundraising for my charity Moving Mountains which is doing so much good work in Kenya, Nepal and Niger.
Since starting the charity I have seen it grow to encompass a wide variety of aid - in Kenya two orphanages, a large HIV clinic, a rescue centre, a community centre, four schools, a feeding programme for 650 kids, a football team, family support for several dozen families, plus a hydro electric power plant in the Himalayas supporting an entire village with electricity and new businesses, a Buddhist monastery, a hospital in the Sahara Desert, an effective community health scheme in the Nairobi slums, and hundreds of children being assisted with education and with their lives.
If my climb of Everest and Cho Oyu - www.everestpost.com - can in any way persuade you to donate to this charity, then I would consider it a worthwhile venture. Anybody donating will be entered into an Everest Raffle (£3 per ticket), for which the first prize is £500.00.
Thank you for helping.
