SIX staff members of the Clacton Gazette and three family members will be taking on the Pier to Pier walk for St Helena Hospice.

Reporters Will Lodge and Dave Lambert will be doing the seven mile stretch three-legged, before continuing on to complete 14 miles with editor Brendan Hanrahan, and Caroline McCalman.

Chief reporter Chris Wilkin, entertainment reporter Sue Howlett, Ray Chillingworth, administrative assistant Lynsey Verhelst and her son Jamie will all be taking on the seven mile Clacton to Walton walk.

All the money they raise will go to the Gazette Hospice Appeal, a campaign to raise £25,000 for a new wheelchair accessible vehicle for the Tendring Day Centre.
