Michael Alan Yates - husband, father, educator, philosopher, poet, cricketer, Plymouth Argyle supporter and optimist died peacefully on May 29th 2008 with his family at his side. His passion for life, his family and belief in social justice were well known to all who knew him. Michael had a lifelong interest in music and art, which he believed could change the world. So next time you put on your favourite record, or you are moved by beauty or even a football match, please spare a thought for Michael, who would have enjoyed that moment with you. Michael's final six days were spent in the Hospice's calm and caring atmosphere, which he appreciated not only for himself but for his family.
