Byte Night London · 2 October 2009 ·

We protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support. We ensure their voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting improvements to their lives. Our vision is that every child and young person has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and look at our Byte Night page.

Byte Night is about spending one night sleeping outside to experience a little of what it is like to be homeless, and more importantly raise a huge amount of money for young people who don't have the chance to choose.  It's a poor comparison - we'll be fed, there's breakfast in the morning, and we can then return home to a warm bath and our families.  However, it will be October, it will be cold, and it will probably rain.

Byte Night is a key event for Action for Children.  Originally organised within the Technology industry (hence the "byte"), sleepers are now accepted from all parts of the business community!  Action for Children uses your money in loads of brilliant, practical ways, as the following few examples show...

Anything you can contribute would be very gratefully received.  We'll send you an update on the night so as you go to bed on Friday 2nd October (or early Saturday for some of you), you can look out of the window and think of us - and more importantly the young people who won't be going home in the morning.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Many thanks

Alastair, Lynn, Ron, Eric, Paul and John
