Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Writing this on a laptop at the back of a cabin on the Christmas market om Brazennose Street in Manchester... is not so easy... so I won't try and rewrite everything, I'll just put this update in at the start...
You've missed the raffle, the winner was drawn at the end of the Christmas market in York on Sunday. I'll put some photos and footage on my facebook page
http://www.facebook.com/geckoman.art
We raised £457 in all this time round, added to the £254 from the raffle in the summer that's not bad going! Still want to make that cosmic £888, so even though you can't win a brass frog, feel free to donate!
Thanks to everyone who bought tickets! Cheers, John
Here's the previous blurb...
I base a lot of my art and sculpture on animals from the rainforest so it seemed obvious if I could, to help in a small way with rainforest conservation projects. I'm raffling a pair of my brass tree frogs to raise money for Rainforest Concern, a charity funding projects to maintain habitat and biodiversity, and work with the indigenous people who live there.
These small brass sculptures (about 70 x 38mm and 80 x 38mm) normally retail at £48 and £65 each, but you could win both of them for a £1 raffle ticket, and help raise money for an essential cause. The rainforests are our planets lungs... go on... buy a strip of tickets! Minimum donation online is £2 anyway.
The winner will be drawn in time to catch the last post for Christmas (in the UK). I’m trying to raise as much as possible for Rainforest Concern, so I’ll be out on my Christmas market stall, freezing and selling the tickets in York and Manchester. Make sure I have your phone number or email with how many tickets you've bought. If you don't want to leave that on the public messages here, leave your name with the donation then email me how many tickets you've bought to
This is a raffle, so Giftaid isn't applicable. If you want to increase the donation to Rainforest Concern, buy a raffle ticket here, then go to their website to donate.
I raised £254 by raffling two of my poison dart frogs in the summer… come on folks, let’s get a bit of Christmas spirit going and beat that this time!
Cheers, John aka Geckoman
