Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please help me raise money to help save the rainforests. It may be a small action, but if we all do something… and crucially we need to raise awareness of what we’re doing to the ecosystems of this planet.
It’s a beautiful world, and as far as I know this is the only one we’ve got!
Last year I held two raffles, one in the summer and one at Christmas. We managed to raise £711, which equates to preserving 14 acres of rainforest. I’ve got a certificate somewhere, if I can find it I’ll scan it.
I base a lot of my art and sculpture on animals from the rainforest so it seemed obvious if I could, to help in a small way with rainforest conservation projects. This time I’m giving three prizes away to raise money for Rainforest Concern, a charity funding projects to maintain habitat and biodiversity, and work with the indigenous people who live there.
The prizes are a set of three of my pottery geckos, a pair of my pottery bats and a pair of pottery dragonflies. Photos of all of them are on here, more details about all these are on my website
It’s £1 for a ticket, minimum donation online is £2 though. Why not buy an extra one and have a chance of winning all three prizes… it is statistically possible, though a bit unlikely, so why not buy a few more. It’s for a very good cause.
The winner will be drawn on August 11 at the end of Cropredy Festival . I’m trying to raise as much as possible for Rainforest Concern, so I’ll be out and about at events until then with a raffle book. If you buy them online make sure I have your phone number or email with how many tickets you've bought.
