Bupa Great North Run 2011 · 18 September 2011 ·

Women are still getting breast cancer and dying from it. That’s why Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer have joined forces to become the UK’s largest dedicated breast cancer research charity. And with your help, together we can put an end to breast cancer, once and for all.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'll be running in the Bupa Great Manchester Run in May 2012 and The Great North Run in September 2012.

Supporting breast cancer research means a great deal to me after my sister Dorothy passed away after her battle with breast cancer last year. My younger sister Andrea is also now undergoing treatment for breast cancer, so I am running for Campaign in support of both of them.

We also lost our brother, Paul, to cancer many years ago at the age of 23. I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 2009 and am still undergoing treatment, so cancer really has touched my family’s life from the beginning.

I'm aiming to raise £1,000 or more for Campaign. I’m proud to run the Bupa Great Manchester Run for Breast Cancer Campaign as I know that every penny I raise will go towards helping the charity take a step closer to beating breast cancer. Family and friends have been so supportive of my fundraising and I am also hoping to sell some produce from my allotment to the public to help reach my target.

So please dig deep and donate now.
