Well.....Sunday 14th June saw The Walk....26 gruelling miles from Blackpool South Shore Train Station to The Station Pub in Cherry Tree Blackburn...and boy did we feel it! A group of 18 ladies from Blackburn made the long walk back through blazing sunshine and along roads that seemed never ending BUT we did it!! Everybody really pushed themselves and helped each other to cross the finishing line. We set of at 8.15 am with the first ladies making it back 8 hours later....the rest got back over the next 2 hours to cheers from everybody waiting in the pub. Each and everyone of us are proud of ourselves and proud of each other as it is a massive personal achievement and we all found it emotionally as well as physically challenging.
Money rasied will go to Rock FM and Magic 999's Cash for Kids....a charity set up under the national banner of..."Cash for Kids" to make grants for local disadvantaged and disabled children and organisations that work with them.
