Well what can I say........
I bet you are wondering and thinking what am I doing running the London Marathon, it is something I have always wanted to do especially before the big 30 and more importantly I have found a great charity to raise money for, Henshaws!
By running for Team Henshaws, I will be raising money to help hundreds of blind and visually impaired people. Henshaws deliver the practical, caring and creative support that allows people with sight loss to build the skills and independence they need, to get the future they want. Henshaws specialise in family support, training, rehabilitation, education and community outreach. So please dig deep and help me make my target!
My training is going well and I am looking forward to completing a half marathon on the 1st March - I will update my page to let you know how well it went! Well a week and a bit on, I completed a half marathon in 2.30hrs - still a long way to go! I will be hitting the 15 mile mark next week, hopefully no blisters!!!!
And for all of you that are thinking you will need to camp out for the day/evening, I am looking to run the marathon in 5 hours!!!!
I would also welcome your support on the day to cheer me, my red face along the way!
Thank you so much for your support, It really means alot! For more information on Henshaws visit: www.henshaws.org.uk
