Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As much as I hate putting any amount of money in Nike’s pocket, I have grudgingly stumped up the fee and entered into the Nike Run To The Beat Half Marathon on September 25th, and to balance out my donation to the big ol sweatshop I’ll be running it for a charity, the Myton Hospice.

I’m running on the behalf of my cousin John Graham-Martin who died this year after an 18 month battle with a brain tumor, leaving behind a wife, Maria, and 12 year old daughter Anna. The Myton Hospice have been invaluable to them during John’s difficult illness and continue to be supportive. They give support and reassurance, relieve symptoms and control pain using palliative care to victims of suffering and their families, and most importantly, are the only hospice in the country to give workshops and counseling to bereaved children.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
