Protecting children in Thailand from abuse, exploitation and inequality. We work in partnership with grassroots organisations to keep children safe at home, in school and in society

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page

We are a team who plan to raise at least £2000 for the Pattaya Orphanage Trust in Thailand by being sponsored to cycle "Coast to Coast" in Northern England (from the Lake District in the West to The North Sea in the East) over a three day period at the end of August.

Every penny that you offer will go directly to support the work of the Sarnelli House which is the only organisation of its kind in North-east Thailand.  It provides medical care, a home and education for children who are affected or infected by HIV and AIDS.  It is totally funded by private donations and there is always a great deal to be done despite the work of of ten full time staff who are committed seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Why have we chosen Sarnelli House?

In celebration of its 60th anniversary, BUPA is organising an international charity challenge for 60 employees to visit and work at Sarnelli House orphanage in northern Thailand later this year.  One of our team, Gen, is taking part in the challenge for a week at the end of October.

The objective of the project is to help the orphanage in its quest to raise awareness of the problem of HIV and AIDS in Thailand, whilst bettering the lives of the children living there by building new facilities over a six week period.  The challenge will be part-funded by BUPA Community Connections, as well as fundraising activities completed by the volunteers.

Please dig deep and sponsor us online!

Many Thanks,

Gen, Cyril, Trina and Stu.
