The British Red Cross, a charity incorporated by Royal Charter 1908, helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.

Story

After six months of training and fundraising, I finally made it to the top of Kilimanjaro on 29th October.

To those of you who have already sponsored me, thank you for helping me reach my £10,000 target with two weeks to spare. After a hard slog on the last three or four hours of climbing, around a third of the British Red Cross team that I was part of made it to the summit. It was the generosity of donations and your (mostly!) words of encouragement that kept me going through what was the hardest thing I have ever done.

For those yet to make a donation, please think about making a difference - it only takes a second.

£10 could train one person in life-saving first aid skills

£25 could help feed a family in need overseas for one month

£50 could provide a family with basic water and sanitation for their whole lifetime

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Red Cross will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks once again for kind your support.
