After a brilliant ride to Paris in September 2007, which raised over £1,300 for enhance herts I have now decided to go the next stage as threatened. September 2008 will see me setting off from Blackheath again and following the same four day route to Paris. After a day in Paris I will get back on my bike for a further four days riding to Geneva. The last day of this will be spent crossing the Jura Mountains including the high point of the trip the Col de la Faucille at 1232m. This year I will be raising even more money for the enhance herts BUILDING BLOCKS APPEAL and loose even more weight. I’ve now shed one stone eight pounds since I started training last June and have signed up for the local gym to keep my fitness up until the weather improves.
