Tales from those who use it have convinced me homelessness could happen to any of us and the demand is already growing given the looming recession. 

St. Patrick's tries to help anyone in genuine need and depends on charitable funding to survive. In 2005 we lost our Local Authority funding because we refused to limit access to only those people with a 'Brighton connection'.
