So I'm running the marathon, but actually that really doesn't matter. What matters is that you see the image on the left and want it to stop. I wasn't going to fundraise for the marathon, I couldn't be bothered, and then I watched Natural World and my mind was changed.

Gorilla's are intellectual beings. They are being murdered, having their head and the feet cut off, being pushed into smaller and smaller area's whilst we go about our lives. A mother fled a troupe after her baby was killed by the new silverback, a father let his adult son remain in the group even though he knew eventually his son would overthrow him, these are not traits of simple, unintelligent creatures. They are one of our closest relatives, one small step the other way by us back in the evolutionary trail and these roles could be reversed!!

I don't want to get preachy, I just want to help protect a very endangered species. Give me a pound, give me a fiver, just give me something for what I'm about to nearly kill myself doing. To see me stop consuming obscene amounts of chocolate and alcohol has got be worth something!!
