Story

After returning from South America in 2007 my wife Sue died very suddenly on the 30th May aged 52. She passed away from an aliment known as "Long QT" also know as "Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS)".  Obviously it was not known that she was at risk and we were then informed that it can jump generations.       So my two daughters, son and four grand children, needed to be tested.

My oldest grandson Connor was found to have the same
condition. So with the help and fantastic treatment provided by Great Ormond Street Hospital which included three operations he is now treated & healthy. I think the staff and doctors there are some of the best people in the world.

I decided I would  like to  give something back and help raise some much needed funds for GOSH. As you know I have a great love of motorbikes so I sought out a challenge that would test me.

The challenge will involve travelling 5000 miles off road from Tennessee to Oregon in the USA. I will travel by dirt bike right across the US without using Tarmac roads.

I hope I can help in some small way by using this challenge to highlight this great cause. All money raised will be donated to GOSH and I will be covering all of my own costs. No matter how much you can donate every little will help. Can I ask you also share this far and wide amongst friends and family so we can raise as much money as possible.

Thank you
