On the 24th of this month, Joe and I had 30 hours to get as far away from Manchester as we can, using no money to do so. We managed to get all the way to Split in Croatia, thanks to the enormous generosity of the passengers at Heathrow. This was an event set up and organised by Manchester RAG and Kidscan (links below.)

All of the money raised on this page goes straight to Kidscan so that they can further their research into treatments for children with cancer. None was used for any travel purposes or otherwise.

A bit about Kidscan:
Kidscan Children’s Cancer Research was established in 2002 to specifically support research into new and improved treatments for children with cancer. Kidscan was the first charity of its kind.

1 in 500 children in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer before they are 14 years old. Tragically, 25% of these children won’t make it to their 30th birthday.

Cancer is the leading cause of death in children in the UK. Through groundbreaking research, Kidscan is striving to change that, giving every child with cancer the treatment they need to survive.

By funding research into drug treatments and support programmes designed with children in mind, we are reducing both short and long term side effects of cancer in childhood. Our scientists are developing treatments which are less damaging to the bodies of children and young adults whilst retaining the effectiveness of many current treatments.

We would be extremely grateful for any amount of money you can donate.
