Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Since I turn 30 later this year I wanted to do something different for charity. Bearing in mind that I have already done a 10,000ft sky dive and run the London Marathon for charity in recent years I had to come up with something different. So what am I doing you may well ask?
The events all started with the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday 31st May which I successfully completed in 4 hours 20 minutes and is followed up by the 3 Peak Challenge (climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours including travelling) during August and then finishing off with a gentle half marathon through the streets of Glasgow in September. You will probably all agree with my wife that I'm a little crazy.
My charity of choice for these events is Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) who aim to improve the quality of life for people suffering from chest, heart and stroke related illnesses living in Scotland through medical research, providing information and advice and through support in the wider communities.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me and saves me the nightmare task of physically having to collect the money I raise, count it, bank it and then forward a cheque to CHSS: Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Any donation no matter how small, although you can give me a large donation if you want, is very much appreciated and can help make a difference.
