This year, I have decided to join the annual stampede of brave people running the London Marathon. The worthy cause that I am raising money for was chosen by the incredibly brave individual who I am very proud to have as a mum. Nearly all of you will know that mum broke her spinal cord 5 years ago this February. This opened our family up into a world we knew very little about. There are so many people in similar situations to mum be it worse or not so severe and I really want to raise money to give these people a better life. In mum's opinion the most significant risks, discomforts and problems associated with her injury are the constant fear of kidney and bladder infections and the difficulty with their function.
