Maggie’s Centres are warm and welcoming places built alongside NHS hospitals that provide the support that people with cancer and their family and friends need. www.maggiescentres.org

Story

Georgie says: “Maggies has been a very welcoming place for me to just 'be' in whilst waiting for my treatment on chemo days.  The garden is a peaceful little refuge for me and I'm hugely grateful that it happens to be located at the hospital I've been treated in.  Anyone with any cancer or anyone who is affected by cancer can just stroll in - as I first did on the day I was diagnosed.  The cuppa tea (and advice) I was given went down a treat!

We'd like to help fundraise for Maggies so that more centres can be built around the country, and more people with cancer can benefit.  There's more to Maggies than just this though - they offer other support, workshops etc which I imagine would be very useful and comforting for many people.

If you can donate a few quid, we'd really appreciate it. The walk will admittedly be fun (me, my sisters and Anna) - and hopefully very achievable!  Thank you if you can donate.”
