As some of you may know my eldest son Jay Tomlin is severely disabled. Jay was given a diagnosis many years ago of not being here to celebrate many more birthdays after his 19th and for these reasons Jay was eligible for respite care from Hope House. I can't even begin to tell you how invaluable this has been to give Jay some rest and relaxation with the most amazing care from truly dedicated staff. Hope House is a wonderful place where Jay can socialise with other young adults and children and make some fantastic memories with people who genuinely care about making sure everyone has a great time there. As a mum with a child with such complex conditions it gives me total peace of mind that he is being taken care of so well while he is having a short stay away from home. It also allows me to have a few days to be able to do the things I can't do on a day to day basis, little things to most people I'm sure but just being able to jump in the car and pop to the shop is a luxury. So please, please if you have a couple of pounds to spare could you please donate it to this incredible charity as myself and Josh with some of our amazing friends will be putting on our trainers and head torches and running 5k to raise as much money as we can xx
