I have completed my 140km cycle around Lough Neagh(www.lapthelough.org), and i would like to thank everyone who supported me and raised money for transplants in mind.

This is a worthy cause, as it helps create awareness of the need for more organ donors. My father received a liver transplant in 2002, and i would like to raise money for transplants in mind as a thank you, for saving my dads life.

I also work in our regional Tissue Typing Lab, at the Belfast City Hospital, where we match organ donors with the patients on our transplant waiting list. From this job i see that we need a lot more organ donors, as there are over 300 patients awaiting transplant in N.Ireland, and less than 50 of those patients are transplanted each year.
