Story
Hello friends, family, colleagues, etc .....
I decided to take part in the Great South Run in Southsea after seeing a notice outside our local RSPCA charity shop asking for runners so I dusted off my trainers and.....from now until 24th October I will be pounding the streets of Fareham to train for this 10 mile race.
Since adopting Poppy, our black and white cat, we've especially had great respect for the RSPCA. Poppy was a rescue cat, very nervous of her new home and disappeared for a few days - she was using her litter tray but we couldn't find her anywhere. Baffled, and after putting leaflets through every door in our street to ask everyone to look out for a black and white cat with 'socks', we found her - behind the washing machine!
All donations to sponsor me for my run will go towards helping our local branch of the RSPCA, the Stubbington Ark, to continue sheltering and rescuing record numbers of animals needing their care. Also to help pay for veterinary treatment, a look at the Ark's website will show us what a sorry state some of these animals are when rescued.
Thank you all for looking at my webpage. You may spot me jogging around Fareham with a 'why am I doing this?' look on my face, but it will be worth it in the end!
