Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
Earlier this year we visited our son Daniel who has been working in Ghana as a volunteer supporting disabled students in Koforidua for over a year with NBSD - the National Bureau for Students with Disabilities. NBSD are in desperate need of funds so that they can build, equip and run a training workshop. Their pilot scheme has had to stop through lack of money.
Both our 60th birthdays are this year - and rather than having presents we thought it would be good to celebrate by raising money for this very worthwhile work.
We recently joined Rotary and the Rotary Clubs in Ampthill and in Koforidua also want to help - which is great. The ambition is to raise £18,000 and support NBSD to get them on a firm footing. The first step is to raise £4500.
Eventually this should permit the training of up to 80 students each year to set up their own small businesses and become self sufficient. Training will be in fabric printing and computing skills.
Please donate now if you can - it will make a real difference.
Thank you very much.
