We are a group of scooterists (Male and Female) who want to show how proud we are of all the armed forces serving across the world and wanted to do something in return.
We are going to ride from the military base on Gibraltar back to the UK via a European scooter rally in Gijon northern Spain in June 2010. Our route will take us up through the moutains of Spain heading north to the ferry at Bilbao. The group of riders will be from all over the UK and have local support from the Gibraltar Lambretta Club. We are all honary members of the Lambretta club of Scotland, and some are members of the Armed Forces Scooter Club.

Our bikes are being shipped down to Gibraltar and we will be flying down via to meet up with them. If anyone is Gibraltar on the weekend of 05&06th June 2010 please keep an eye open for us and our scooters and please come to see us off from outside the HM Navy Base at between 1030-1100hrs on Sunday 06th June, if you have a scooter or motorcycle and wish to join us for our ride out of Gibraltar please feel free. We plan to attend the Euro Lambretta Rally in Gijon northern spain on our way to the ferry from Bilbao to Portsmouth . From there we will travel onward to home with an approximate milege in total of 1200 . We are planning a couple of days R&R prior to our trip by popping across to Tangiers in morocco to show the bikes some sun before we start our journey.
Our bikes will vary from 40 year old lambrettas to new style vespa's and even a couple of indian lambretta's so they should cope with the heat ok.
The team have been fundraising through last year and this years scooter rallies and lots of other charity events right the way up to the main event it's self with a stall selling help for heroes merchandise.
