Variety, the Children's Charity, is dedicated to improving the lives of children who are disabled or disadvantaged. Our objective is to increase their independence, level of confidence and self esteem. We also aim to improve physical health allowing them to spend more time with friends & family.

Story

More people have climbed Everest than have swum from Europe to Africa across the Gibraltar Straits. Many an attempt have been marred by hypothermia, sharks, close encounters with tankers or just plain exhaustion.

This July, Nick Berry, Lennard Lee and Harry Fisher are hoping to join the halls of fame by swimming solo across the Gibraltar Straits. Unlike David Walliams, we will be doing it properly without the aid of a wetsuit!
