Cancer is something that touches most people's lives today. The simple fact is that without people like Macmillan to provide support, most people are left isolated, scared and feeling helpless. I care deeply about the support that they give and the fact that we're just about to have a our first baby makes me think about all those families that get devastated when a loved one goes through the ordeal that is cancer.

As such I've decided to cycle to Paris, a small challenge compared what others go through. I only really learnt to ride a bike at the tender age of 35 (3 or so years ago) and people who know me will attest to the fact that I'm not the most stable of people on a bike - but am looking forward and determined to doing this to raise money.
