My Latest Adventure:
In June this year I accompanied Mrs Joy Laker to to mark D-Day
The trip was organised by the The Landing Craft Association and Normandy Vets who go over to Normandy every year for the D-Day services. We stayed in Arromanches and visited the Caen Memorial, Ranville Cemetary, Pegasus Bridge and Saint-Mere-Eglise which was the town liberated by the American Airbourne. On 6th June, D-Day, we went to BayeuxMilitaryCemeterywhich is the largest British World War II Cemetery in, the resting place of 4600 troops, before returning to Ouistreham for a service for The Landing Craft Association
Mrs Laker and Gifford Bear VC raised over £150 from their trip to for The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home.
Some of my upcoming events include:
Going to a summer tea party in London with one of QAHH’s supporters.
Going tomeet some ex-RAF people.
And most of all I am looking forward to going on my first adventure with the Army in February.... but where will I be going?
