My story

 

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page for what we believe to be a very worthwhile charity.

Having puffed our way around Wandsworth Common a few times and after a bottle of wine or two (possibly three) we have decided to attempt a half marathon.  We know it's not a full marathon but it's still a very long way and we are not getting any younger!  Training's going slowly as we keep convincing ourselves that the event's a long way off so we really need the motivation of money to get us off our backsides and out in the fresh air! 

We are running for a very worthy charity Access Sport aimed at giving children access to a wide range of quality local sports especially those from disagvantaged areas.  Whilst Access Sport are not currently active in our local area we have already approached our MP Sadiq Khan to work with us and identify local clubs that would benefit from both financial and commercial/technical support from Access Sport.  If successful the charity will be on the lookout for local ambassadors so watch this space!
