Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Foundation for Social Improvement gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. In normal English, this basically means that Gordie Brown will have to cough up another 25% of what you have donated. Legend!
The FSI are a great charity that help build long-term sustainability and capacity amongst small charities. Small charities reach millions of people throughout the UK and beyond, but due to a lack of funding nearly 4,000 close their doors every year leaving hundreds of thousands without, sometimes vital, support. A donation to the FSI ensures great small charities stay open and deliver even better services for their beneficiaries, by training them to find income streams and strategically plan for their futures.
To keep myself motivated on the big day I will be listening to a compilation of tracks on my iPod. If anybody who makes a donation would like to add a track to my playlist in order to remind of you whilst running and help keep me going, that would be great!
