Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am very pleased to be able to raise money for the Bristol Urological Institute by running in the London Marathon. The Bristol Urological Institute aims to improve the treatment and care of people with urological disorders, to support and develop research with particular emphasis on cancers of the urinary tract and the problem of incontinence and to provide a high standard of training for nurses, medical students, doctors and surgeons.

Despite having lived in Bristol since I was a fresh faced university student, I am, as most people can tell as soon as I open my mouth to speak, a Londoner born and bred, growing up and going to school in fact, within a stone's throw of the marathon's start. I've run several half marathons, but never a whole marathon before. I've never been tempted by any other marathon, but 26 miles through the city that used to be home is a long standing "bucket list" ambition. I've been out pounding the streets in the dark mornings to make sure I can do it - your donation to the excellent work of the BUI will spur me on further.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
