My story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. I am taking part in the Adidas Women’s 5km Challenge in Hyde Park. I intend to complete the course with the help of my sister Jackie & friends Gail & Amy.
We are raising money for the Herts. MS Therapy Centre (HMSTC), which I attend 3 times a week & would be grateful if you could spare a few minutes to sponsor me. I have been going to the Centre for various therapies including Physiotherapy, Reflexology & Aromatherapy for the last 10 years, which I've found very helpful as it has improved & eased some of my symptoms.
HMSTC is an independent charity, founded in 1983. The running costs are over £200,000 per year, so any amount donated is greatly appreciated.
Multiple Sclerosis is a debilitating and unpredictable disease of the nervous system and can affect people in different ways and of different ages. As yet, there is no cure, but treatment can improve or ease symptoms, especially to mobility and limits the progression of MS.

Hertfordshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre Ltd's aim is to limit the progression of the disease, which affects approximately one in 800 of the population, and to alleviate the feelings of isolation and helplessness that often follow diagnosis. To do this it offers neuro-physiotherapy, high dosage oxygen therapy, remedial yoga, counselling, aromatherapy, reflexology, chiropody and dietary advice.
