<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 140%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; background: white; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: Arial; color: #1c1c1c; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-size: small;">This charity means a lot to me; many of you will know that in 2007 my mam was diagnosed with Mesothelioma and within 11 months she had passed away. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 140%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; background: white; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial; color: #1c1c1c; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">This dreadful form of lung cancer affects thousands of people and will continue to do so over the next few decades. This is mainly due to the fact that it can take many years after being exposed to asbestos for mesothelioma to occur; </span><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="color: #000000;">it is not unusual for 35 to 40 years to elapse between exposure to asbestos and diagnosis.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Most exposure to asbestos has occurred at no fault to the individuals affected by this awful disease.</span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 140%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; background: white; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: Arial; color: #1c1c1c; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-size: small;">At present there is no cure for Mesothelioma and little investment in research.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Survival rates are very low.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Mesothelioma has the lowest number of clinical trials compared to all other cancers.</span></span></p>
