Story
In September 2009 I will be flying off to Romania to take part in a 50km trek through the Carpathian mountains which will take me a height of 2507m, the Cabana Omu. From there I will trek to Zarnesti which is the home of the WSPA's bear sanctuary.
The sanctuary was set up in the Spring of 2005 to rescue captive bears who were being used as tourist attractions, chained up outside restaurants or being kept as pets, all of which are illegal. The bears lived in solitary cages with no food or water and show signs of abnormal behaviour, they did not receive any veterinary care. All the sponsership money I receive will help rescue bears still living in these appauling conditions.
Thank you all so much.
