Story
Hello and thank you for visiting my fundraising page
In January 2008 I am taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for VSO. This challenge is intended for me to do something that can make a difference.
This is not an easy task - Mt Kilimanjaro is the tallest free standing mountain in the world and is 5895m (19,340ft) high. The final push to the summit will require a 14hr climb, starting at midnight in sub-zero temperatures. My sister Sue, will be joining me on the climb and we are determined to spur each on other at our weakest moments!!
Over the next few months, we will be training, trekking, running and sweating in preparation for the event.
I would like, and more importantly, need your help! My target is to raise a total of £3200 by October 07.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Voluntary Service Overseas will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
I would be really grateful if you could sponsor me now and would appreciate any donation, no matter how large or small.
Many thanks for your support.
Gill X
