Mount Kenya is the highest mountain in and second highest in (after Kilimanjaro). The highest peak towers at 5,199 metres (17,058 ft). Our 5 day trek involves foregoing all home comforts - so that's no showering, no toilets, wearing long johns and balaclava’s, eating porridge breakfasts, and camping in pretty chilly conditions... the night time temp near the summit falls to at least -10˚C.
I’m hoping to raise money in support of Sewa International, a fantastic charity dedicated to providing humanitarian aid in poverty stricken areas. Details of past projects are included below - definitely worth a read. The 2006 Kilimanjaro Trek managed to raise a whopping £61,858, so the bar has certainly been set high!
All donations big or small will be gratefully received. Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Sewa International and, if you’re a taxpayer, Just Giving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid is added to your donation.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks, Gina
