Story
Hi Guys and Gals,
As you know my fantabulous hubby Matt died of skin cancer on the 12th May last year. Many friends and family have been raising money for different cancer charities but one of the most important places to us in the last few weeks was the Rowans Hospice. Matt spent two weeks there and the care and dedication he received from every member of staff was above and beyond anything else we had come across in our 3 years of battling the disease. Without their help I would not have been able to care for Matt and he would not have been able to spend his last weeks at home as we wished.
I have been wanting to do something to raise money for the Rowans and the Moonlit Memories walk is an event they have been running for a couple of years. The walk starts at midnight on 19th June and follows a 12 mile route around Portsmouth. Although this probably doesn't seem as dramatic as some of the half marathons etc that everyone else does can I remind you that I do not do physical exercise of any kind.....normally! Not only this but I will be doing a full 10 hours of work the same day before heading down there and if that wasn't enough I'm not allowed to consume alcohol before or during!
I really hope that by doing this I can convince some of you to donate to this fantastic charity.
Thank you all so much for your support!
Love
