Hello and welcome to my very own page

 

As those of you that have known me for years I have always been a very keen runner and now have taken up the ultimate challenge to run the London Marathon.

I have also decided that I want to raise some money so that all my training and suffering is not put to waste!

My money raised will be going to Refuge - a charity commited to protecting women and children against domestic violence.

Did you realise that between 2-3 million women in this country suffer abuse each year. It was reported in 2008 that only 142 000 contact the National Domestic Violence Helpline. With more resources and support and with raised awareness this can be increased and improved.

Refuge is commited to providing safe houses and outreach services for families and vunerable adults.
