NEWS UPDATE: Dave completed the 10k gruelling distance in 56 minutes on the dot. Pretty happy with that performance, given I have done just one training run and some bike rides. Thanks all for your sponsorship, but its not too late to get me up to the Target!!

Thanks for taking the time out of your hectic day to give this Ginger fundraising a look through. On the left is my favourite (and only) ginger relative; nephew Daniel Bowles. (us Ginger's need to stick together!)

Haircolour: Ginger, often referred to as "Strawbs" or "Strawberry blonde" Fave Food: Ginger Biscuits McVite's or Ginger Snaps. Fave Male Celebrity: Chris Evans Fave Female Celebrity: Ginger Rogers Fave Drink: Ginger beer or just plain beer! Fave animal: Ginger the tom cat. Fave colour: Orange Fave hobby: Meeting with other great Ginger people and generally having lots of ginger fun! So there is a serious side to all this.... tragically Daniel was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy a severe and progressive muscle wasting disease that affects young boys. Because this is so rare Government funding to find a cure is not that freely available, so its a race against the clock to find a cure. That race has driven me to this race, in support of the PPUK charity.... So please do your best to dig deep, or shallow (every little helps!) and sponsor me on-line. The time saved by you in doing this helps me to really focus my efforts on the intensive training programme my body needs to get me up to the 10km distance! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.
